Complete transformer substation of KTP series

Complete transformer substations general-purpose indoor execution KTP-250 – 1000/6…20/0,4 U3

Complete transformer substations with capacities from 250 to 2500 kV∙A, voltage 6 and 10 or 20 kV are designed for receiving, converting, and distributing electrical energy of three-phase alternating current with a frequency of 50 Hz. They are used in power supply systems of industrial enterprises in areas with a temperate climate for indoor installation in unheated rooms.

KTP 400-1000 outdoor execution are designed for power supply in three-phase alternating current systems with voltage 6-10/0.4 kV and frequency 50 Hz. They are used in power supply systems of enterprises in areas with a temperate climate (from -40°С to +40 °С).

Design Features

The design of complete transformer substations includes the main functional blocks that ensure their operation. These blocks can have various configurations, allowing the substation to be adapted to specific needs and operating conditions.

  • The KTP includes a high voltage input device (UHV), a power transformer, and a low voltage switchgear (LV switchgear).
  • The UHV can be designed as a “blind entry” cabinet, a cabinet with a load switch and fuses, or a cabinet with a vacuum circuit breaker.
  • The LV switchgear consists of a set of cabinets: a low voltage input cabinet (LV Input Cabinet), outgoing line cabinets (OLC), and a sectional cabinet (SC) for two-transformer KTPs.
  • Single-transformer (KTP) and two-transformer (2KTP) versions of substations are provided, which can be single-row or double-row.
  • In double-row substations, a bus duct is installed for electrical and mechanical connection of sections.
  • The LV switchgear cabinets have a metal frame (assembled or welded), enclosed on the sides and top with metal sheets, with switching apparatus, busbars, and instruments located inside.
  • Operational maintenance of the cabinets is performed from the front, and access to the busbars and cable connections is from the rear.

Advantages of Using KTP Substations

The use of complete transformer substations provides a number of significant advantages, making them an optimal solution for ensuring reliable and efficient power supply to various facilities. These advantages are due to the design features and functionality of KTPs.

  • KTPs are supplied with a high degree of factory readiness, which significantly simplifies and accelerates their installation and commissioning at the site.
  • Ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply to consumers.
  • Allow efficient conversion and distribution of electrical energy in accordance with the needs of a specific facility.
  • Have relatively compact dimensions, which saves space during placement.
  • The design of KTPs provides protection of equipment from external influences and abnormal operating modes of the network, such as overloads and short circuits.
  • Various execution and configuration options are possible, which ensures flexibility in application and the ability to adapt to individual customer requirements.

Areas of Application

Complete transformer substations are widely used in various industries due to their functionality and ability to adapt to the specific needs of facilities. They are an important element of the power supply infrastructure for both large industrial facilities and in the civil construction and agriculture sectors.

  • Power supply systems for industrial enterprises.
  • Urban infrastructure facilities and housing and communal services (apartment buildings).
  • Small industrial and construction facilities.
  • Agricultural consumers (farms, elevators).
  • Seasonal pumping stations and other temporary facilities.
  • Shopping centers and office buildings.
  • For indoor installation in unheated rooms (for certain types of KTP).

Compliance with Standards

Products comply with the requirements of current standards and technical specifications, which confirms their quality, reliability, and safety of operation under the stated conditions. Compliance with standards is a guarantee of the equipment’s compatibility with other elements of the power system and its compliance with established norms.

  • KTPs comply with TU 16-674.029-84.
  • Products comply with the requirements of DSTU 3399.
  • Compliance with GOST 14695 is also confirmed.
  • In addition, KTPs comply with the international standard IEC 694 (1980).
