Packaged transformer substations (KTP) play a key role in power supply systems, providing conversion and distribution of electrical energy for various needs. KTPPN is a specialized type of such substations. KTPPN-100…400/10(6)/0.4 U1 are designed for use in the oil production sector, serving for receiving, converting electrical energy and controlling, as well as protecting submersible electric motors of the PED series with a power of 16 to 125 kW, which are part of installations of submersible centrifugal electric pumps for oil production from single wells. These substations also provide power supply to pumping units and mobile current collectors during repair work on the well. In general, packaged transformer substations are designed for receiving, converting and distributing electrical energy of three-phase alternating current.

Structural Features
KTPPN have a well-thought-out design that ensures their reliability and functionality in operating conditions at oil production facilities. Structural solutions take into account the need for easy connection to the network, convenience of maintenance, and protection of equipment from external influences.
- KTPPN is supplied complete with TMPN type power transformers.
- An air input is provided for convenient connection of the substation to the overhead power line (OHL).
- The delivery set includes an RLND disconnector.
- The substation design allows its installation on both a prepared foundation and a compacted site.
- Typically, KTPPN are made in the form of a metal kiosk or container, which provides equipment protection.
- The high-voltage input is usually overhead, and the outputs on the low and medium voltage sides are made by cable.
- The substation design includes switchgear, control and protection automation, as well as necessary auxiliary elements.
- To ensure the safety of maintenance personnel, appropriate interlocks are provided in the KTPPN design.
- KTPPN can be of dead-end or walk-through type depending on the power supply scheme.

Advantages of Using KTPPN Substations
The use of KTPPN packaged transformer substations provides a number of significant advantages, especially in the specific conditions of the oil production industry. These advantages relate to both the functionality and reliability of the equipment, and the convenience of its operation.
- Multifunctionality: In addition to their main purpose, KTPPN can provide power supply to other equipment required at the well, such as pumping units and mobile current collectors for repair work.
- Flexible Control: The ability to choose between manual, automatic, and automatic by program operating modes, as well as the use of a modern microprocessor control unit BRGZ-05K, ensures high adaptability to various operating conditions.
- Comprehensive Solution: Delivery complete with a transformer, air input, and disconnector simplifies the installation and commissioning process.
- Reliability and Protection: The design and execution of substations comply with standard requirements for climatic version (UHL 1) and enclosure protection degree (IP 43), which guarantees their operability in harsh weather conditions and protection from dust and moisture.
- Simplified Connection: The use of a packaged substation simplifies and often reduces the cost of connecting consumers to high-voltage networks.
- Equipment Protection: The provided short-circuit and overload protection systems increase operational safety and equipment longevity.
- Personnel Safety: The presence of appropriate interlocks provides an increased level of safety for maintenance personnel.
Areas of Application
KTPPN are specifically designed to provide reliable power supply and effective equipment control in specific conditions. Their design and functionality determine the main industries and facilities where their use is most appropriate and effective.
- The main area of application for KTPPN is oil production facilities, in particular, for powering and controlling submersible electric motors as part of submersible centrifugal electric pump installations for oil production from single wells.
- Substations provide power supply to pumping units used in the oil production process.
- KTPPN are also used to power mobile current collectors required for repair work on wells.
- In general, packaged transformer substations are widely used for power supply to industrial enterprises, public buildings, agricultural facilities, as well as temporary structures and sites.
Compliance with Standards
The quality and reliability of KTPPN packaged transformer substations are confirmed by their compliance with a number of state and industry standards. This guarantees operational safety, equipment durability, and its suitability for use in the declared conditions.
- The climatic version of the substations corresponds to category UHL 1 according to GOST 15150, which allows their operation in a wide range of climatic conditions.
- The degree of enclosure protection is IP 43 according to GOST 14254, providing protection against contact with live parts, ingress of foreign solid objects with a diameter of more than 1 mm, and protection against water splashes.
- The insulation level complies with the requirements of GOST 1516.1-76 for normal insulation.
- The production and technical conditions for KTPPN are regulated by the relevant technical conditions of Ukraine (for example, TU U 27.1-00213440-009-2013, as indicated in the example entry).
