KTPU

Universal Packaged Transformer Substations (KTPU) are a key component for reliable power supply, ensuring the conversion of high voltage from the electrical grid to a lower voltage suitable for direct use by consumers. These substations, with capacities ranging from 25 to 250 kVA, are designed for receiving, converting, and distributing electrical energy from three-phase alternating current at a frequency of 50 Hz, stepping down from 6 (10) kV to 0.4 kV. KTPU are single-transformer, dead-end type outdoor substations, ideally suited for supplying electricity to facilities in the oil and gas extraction industry, agriculture, as well as small industrial and construction sites. They are developed for operation in temperate climates with a temperature range from -45°C to +40°C.

Structural Features

KTPU have a well-engineered design that ensures their efficient operation and reliability in various operating conditions. The main components include high-voltage and low-voltage switchgear, and a power transformer. The substation is adapted for outdoor installation and easily connects to existing power lines.

• KTPU consists of a high-voltage device (HVD), an outdoor power transformer, and a low-voltage switchgear (LVSG) cabinet.
• Connection to the overhead power line is made using an RLND3-10/400 U1 disconnector, installed on the HVD mast.
• KTPUs are manufactured with oil-filled transformers.
• The transformer neutral on the low-voltage side is solidly grounded.
• The substation design is single-row in terms of the mutual arrangement of its components.
• KTPU is equipped with one power transformer.
